Dmitry Chernyshenko receives Order of Friendship state award

Russian President Vladimir Putin presented state awards to outstanding Russian citizens as well as a number of foreigners in Catherine’s Hall at the Grand Kremlin Palace on May 23. The awards were granted to more than 30 representatives from various fields, including astronautics, science, culture, sports, industry and agriculture.

Vladimir Putin presented the Order of Friendship to Dmitry Chernyshenko, CEO of Gazprom-Media Holding.

“First of all, I would like to thank everyone who will receive state awards today, for their work and great achievements, for their loyalty to Russia, for their indifferent, creative, responsive involvement in the country’s life. You are making a huge contribution to its development, to our common progress, with your breakthrough ideas and brilliant accomplishments. With your life as an example, you are inspiring millions of people to strive for more, to work for the well-being of the Fatherland,” President Vladimir Putin said in his welcoming speech.

Dmitry Chernyshenko has been at the head of Gazprom-Media Holding since January 2015. He is responsible for the development of all the company’s business segments and brands. In this period, the Holding has strengthened its positions in the production, distribution and promotion of entertainment, information and sports content on the Russian and foreign markets.

The federal sports channel Match TV and a new business segment focused on the production and distribution of sports content were successfully launched under Dmitry Chernyshenko’s leadership. His tenure as CEO was also marked by the creation KIT Film Studio, which produces TV series, feature films and documentaries, the launch of TV channels TNT4, Super and Match Strana, as well as Like FM radio station and the TNT-PREMIER online platform.
