The annual Donors Forum conference was held from 30 September to 1 October 2021. The event brings together leading experts in the fields of charity and social investment, representatives of business, charity foundations, government agencies and academic institutions.
A discussion titled “Trust in the sector in uncertain conditions and charity work as a profession” was held on the first day of the conference as part of its working program. Society members became more trustful of non-profit organisations and charity work during the pandemic. Finding themselves at the forefront, NGOs and volunteers continued to support the most vulnerable population groups and to create a sense of solidarity within society. Alfiya Gufarova, head of corporate social responsibility at Gazprom-Media, took part in the conference and spoke about the Holding’s CSR program. Notably, the Holding systematised CSR projects and created its own PRO program which makes the most of its media capabilities. Thanks to these, charity organisations can make their work known to a wider audience, attract attention to social issues, carry out new projects, kickstart more volunteer initiatives, get the opportunity to oversee more cases and launch new large-scale programs.
In 2021, Gazprom-Media Holding became a member of the Donors Forum, an association of the largest grant-giving organisations. The Holding also supported the photo competition OBYEKTIVnaya Blagotvoritelnost (Charity Through a Lens) where it founded two nominations. One of these, called “Inclusion story”, centers on inclusion issues, while the second is dedicated to medical workers, “Medics. The Fight for Life”. The best works were selected based on a vote by jury, which included Gazprom-Media Holding’s managers and employees as well as members of the Gazprom-Media Volunteer Centre.
