The filming of a new feature, Doctor Liza, started in Moscow. The film is dedicated to the life of Elizabeth Glinka, head of the humanitarian NGO Spravedlivaya Pomoshch (Fair Aid), who died in a plane crash in Sochi in 2016. The film is produced by KIT Film Studio (part of Gazprom-Media Holding) and IVAN Producer Center in partnership with NTV channel and with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
Elizabeth Glinka, colloquially known as Dr. Liza, the face of Russian palliative medicine, will be played by award-winning actress Chulpan Khamatova. Oksana Karas, who is known for her work on Khoroshiy Malchik (The Good Boy) and U Angela Angina (Ailing Angel) will direct the film. The project will also feature Konstantin Khabensky, Andrzej Chyra, Andrey Burkovskiy, Aleksei Agranovich, Timofey Tribuntsev, Julia Aug, Tatyana Dogileva, Yelena Koreneva, Aleksei Vertkov, Sergey Sosnovsky, Filipp Avdeyev, Daria Zhovnar and others.
The film will be released in cinemas in 2020. Its television premiere will be held on NTV channel.
