NTV channel will premiere the new international musical project Ty Super! 60+ (You are Super! 60+) on May 16 at 20:10. The project features talented people over the age of 60 who were left without the support of their family and friends.
Anyone from Russia and the CIS, over 60 years old and without the support of their closest relatives such as children and grandchildren, was eligible to apply to take part in the show. The first season of the show will feature 45 contestants, aged 60 to 87, with the most diverse backgrounds. Among them are a retired colonel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, chemists and doctors, as well as professional musicians, such as singers of the Mariinsky Theatre choir.
In each episode, these contestants will come out on a big stage to give their performances. Those who receive three or four ‘yes’ votes from the jury will move to the waiting area. If none or only one of the judges presses the green button, or if the votes are split, the contestant will be eliminated from the show. At the end of each episode, the jury will name those contestants who will advance to the next stages. The contest will consist of two rounds: qualifications and final.
Jury members of the first season of Ty Super! 60+ include Igor Krutoy, Diana Arbenina, Stas Piekha and Irina Dubtsova. Vadim Takmenyov and Anastasia Pak will host the project. The duo are already well-known as co-hosts of a similar children’s project Ty Super! (You are Super!).
Ty Super! 60+ is held by NTV channel in collaboration with Sputnik International news agency and radio. The WeiT Media company is producing the show.
