The winners of the ninth international television festival TEFI-Commonwealth awards were announced on September 18 in Chisinau, Moldova. The awards jury recognized the TV series Obychnaya Zhenshina (An Ordinary Woman) and Domashny Arest (Home Arrest), which became the only Russian award winners at the festival.
More than 70 directors and producers from nine countries submitted their projects for the festival. The projects came from Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Of these, 17 projects reached the final - these are the TV series that are especially interesting and important not only for the countries where they were filmed, but for the television industries across the CIS countries, Baltic states and Georgia.
One of the awards went to the TV series Domashny Arest, which was created by TNT and Comedy Club Production studio. The series’ premiere took place on Gazprom-Media Holding’s PREMIER platform.
