TNT4 television channel (part of Gazprom-Media Holding) received a gold from The PromaxBDA UK Awards, a prestigious international competition in the field of television marketing and design, for the second year in a row. Last year, TNT4 brought three statuettes from the contest, and this year it won a symbolic four. The award ceremony took place in London on November 9. Among its rivals at the awards ceremony in 2018 the Russian channel had such television giants as BBC, Sony Pictures Television, The Walt Disney Company, and Channel 4.
Two videos were sent to the competition: a promo for the weekly film screenings “Odinakovo Moshnoe Kino” (Equally Powerful Cinema) and the promo for the film Zapreshennyi Priyom (Forbidden Move). The works were included in the short list of the competition in all categories.
According to the results of the contest, the promo “Odinakovo Moshnoe Kino” received a gold in the nomination “Best film,” silver for “Best use of editing” and a bronze for “Best season promotion.” Meanwhile, Zapreshennyi Priyom received a gold for "Best use of sound design.”
Last year at the PromaxBDA UK-2017 awards, TNT4 was the only Russian TV channel that received all possible awards at once (gold, silver, bronze) in one nomination “Best promotion in a foreign language.”
Every year, the global television leaders - BBC Worldwide, Turner Broadcasting, Fox, The Walt Disney Company, NBC Universal, MTV, Discovery, ITV, Nickelodeon - fight for the right to be called the best of the best.
