Vloggers from China will be able to publish content on RUTUBE cover

RUTUBE provided an opportunity for Chinese vloggers to upload content to its platform—said Danila Ovcharov, Executive Director of the video hosting service, at a meeting between representatives of various fields from Russia and China.

The event, organized by China Media Group and the Chinese Embassy, was dedicated to cooperation between the two countries in the field of media. The discussion was about technology exchange, expanding the territory of video broadcasting, and increasing the audience of domestic and foreign platforms.

According to Danila Ovcharov, this step will expand RUTUBE’s audience and the platform’s content lineup. In the last six months, 2,740 channels dedicated to China have appeared on Russian platforms, and Russian content on RUTUBE is in demand among Chinese users, with tens of thousands of views and a viewing depth of more than 30%.

«The RUTUBE team conducted a large-scale study and discovered that Russians’ interest in China and its history and culture is constantly growing. More than 45,000 videos on this topic have been published on the platform. To support development of this positive trend, we have provided Chinese vloggers with the opportunity to upload their content to RUTUBE. The foundation has been laid, and we are focused on developing productive, multifaceted cooperation with government organizations, businesses, bloggers, and other users from China».

Gazprom-Media Holding pays great attention to developing cooperation with Chinese colleagues. Last year, a corresponding agreement was signed with China Media Group. Representatives of Gazprom-Media Holding and its digital assets also signed several agreements with leading Chinese technology parks. An NTV film crew visited the provinces of Sichuan, Anhui, and Zhejiang, where they prepared a series of reports dedicated to Chinese culture and economic achievements. In February, NTV presented the documentary film Russia—China. A New Era. It is about how Russia and China are shaping the meanings of a new era, how our peoples see the future, and what place they will occupy in it.
