​Gazprom-Media announces staff changes in Central Partnership film company

Gazprom-Media, a leading diversified media holding in Russia and Eastern Europe, has announced a new appointment in its Film and Television segment. Vadim Vereshyagin has been named the new general manager of Central Partnership film company. He replaces Pavel Stepanov in this role.

As general manager, Vadim Vereshyagin will be responsible for the future development of the company, strengthening of its positions on the film distribution market, distribution of its content library and expansion in the reach of Russian film around the world.

Vadim Vereshyagin has worked in the film industry for more than 15 years. He came to Central Partnership in 2008. From 2008 to 2017 he was involved in the distribution of domestic films, as well as the projects of Paramount Pictures studio and independent foreign films. Moreover, he helped grow the international distribution of Russian films. As of 2017, Vadim Vereshyagin has served as first deputy general manager for film distribution. During his time in this role, Central Partnership has successfully released such high-profile, box office Russian hits as Ekipazh (Flight Crew), Legenda No. 17 (Legend No. 17), Viking, Legenda o Kolovrate (The Legend of Kolovrat), and Dvizhenie Vverkh (Going Vertical), which has become the highest-grossing Russian film.

Prior to joining Central Partnership, Vadim Vereshyagin was in charge of distribution of films by Paramount, Universal and DreamWorks studios in different film companies. He also took part in the creation of WDSSPR company - a joint venture for the distribution of Walt Disney and Sony Pictures studio films in Russia.

Central Partnership is a leading Russian company for the distribution and production of film. In 2017, the share of Central Partnership’s Russian films at the box office made up 38%, while on the Russian films market, Central Partnership holds a 23% share for domestic film revenues. Since 2009 the company has an exclusive agreement for the distribution of Paramount Pictures films on Russian territory. In 2012 the company concluded a similar agreement with Summit Entertainment studio, and as of 2017 the company is the exclusive distributor of Lionsgate films. Central Partnership actively promotes domestic films abroad. In 2017, the company sold the rights to Russian films in more than 120 countries.
