The Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) and Gazprom-Media Holding, Russia’s leading media holding, have signed an agreement about strategic cooperation in the development of tools and algorithms for deep learning and artificial intelligence.
Under this agreement, the employees of the business solutions laboratory will make use of the findings of the MIPT’s “Artificial intelligence” Center of Competence to conduct research together with Gazprom-Media representatives on the development of modern models of machine and deep learning, all in the interests of Gazprom-Media Holding. The plan is to dedicate the research and development work to the processing of natural language, analysis of video content, its classification, and the creation of virtual assistants, annotations and subtitles. Special attention will be given to the development of algorithms that assist in the personalisation of content and help take the interests of the users into account.
