Gazprom-Media Holding, together with the Moscow State University’s Higher School of Policy in Culture and Management in the Sphere of Humanities, are launching the educational program “Production of film and TV programs.” The aim of the program is to train qualified personnel in film production, series and television projects. It is carried out with the support of the KIT Group of Companies and NTV television channel (part of Gazprom-Media Holding).
Gazprom-Media Holding and Moscow State University signed an agreement of cooperation as part of a press conference on the launch of the project. CEO of Gazprom-Media Holding Dmitry Chernyshenko, head of the Higher School of Economics and Management Mikhail Shvydkoy, dean of the Higher School of Education and Technology Elena Khalipova, general manager of KIT Film Studio Dzhanik Fayziev, general producer of NTV channel Timur Weinstein, and actor and producer Pavel Priluchnyy took part in the event. The educational program will be implemented with the support of the KIT Group of Companies and NTV channel.
This year, Gazprom-Media Holding is celebrating its 20th anniversary and carrying out a number of initiatives to develop highly professional personnel in the television and film industry, as well as identify young talented professionals. Faculty students will learn the complete range of production skills for working with full-length films, TV series and programs. They will learn how to evaluate the creative and commercial potential of the projects, as well as to develop and implement their own.
“Students will have the opportunity to attend master classes, lectures and learn what Gazprom-Media has been stocking up for over two decades. The specialists who will share their knowledge represent different facets in the field of film and television production: NTV, Match! sports holding and, of course, the flagship of Russia’s film production and distribution, KIT Group of Companies. This is a very hefty collection of specialists and experts who produce more than 26,000 hours of content per year. Naturally, they have something to share with the students. We will consider the students who successfully complete the training as potential candidates,” said Dmitry Chernyshenko, CEO of Gazprom-Media Holding.
The course of lectures and master classes, which starts in February 2019, aims to provide consistent training for producers, from the basics of drama to the study of the specifics of related professions. Serving as teachers are producers, editors, directors and scriptwriters who work in the KIT Film Studio and on NTV channel. The program seeks to provide not only theoretical knowledge, but also practical work on real projects, practice pitch sessions and excursions to film sets.
