Gazprom Media Holding Is Launching Our First Stage of Migrating Supporting Functions to Our Shared Services Center

The Shared Services Center was established on the basis of GPM Partner, a Gazprom Media subsidiary.

As of today, the service functions of companies in the Gazprom Media Entertainment TV subholding, the Match TV nationwide channel, Gazprom Media Sales House, and a number of our digital projects and real-estate assets have been transferred to the Shared Services Center. The Center brings together a wide range of back-office functions, including human resources and personnel management (recruitment, training, compensation and benefits, and labor protection), financial services (accounting, treasury operations and transformation operations in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards), legal support, procurement, and IT infrastructure, as well as support for business applications, administrative functions, corporate security, technical support for the broadcasting complex, signal distribution, and so forth.

The accelerated pace of digitalization places certain demands on businesses, and we want to set trends not only in terms of the quality of our products, but also in terms of the quality of operational management of our diversified holding. The project to create a Shared Services Center is an essential part of our strategy, which aims, among other things, to increase operational efficiency, transparency and control over business processes. The use of the Shared Services Center is expected to accelerate operational and managerial decision making, which, in turn, will strengthen our business model and improve performance indicators.

At the moment, there are already around 500 employees of GPM Partner working with 44 legal entities. The first stage of centralizing these companies’ service functions in the Shared Services Center will be completed in March 2021. Gazprom Media’s remaining legal entities will be transferred to be serviced by the Center in stages, with the process set to wrap up in March 2022. There are also plans to finish putting together the Center’s target operating model in the first half of 2021. This includes a number of modern tools for service management starting in July 2021, which will allow the Center to meet its targets for the quality and speed of service. Overall, the project is expected to be carried out in 2021 and 2022.
