NTV’s DNK Is Celebrating Its 500th Episode

The 500th episode of the highly dramatic sociological show DNK (DNA) aired on NTV on March 4. Over the past three years, the program has used genetic expertise to help people solve drawn-out family conflicts, find biological parents, and identify legal heirs.

DNK first aired on NTV on April 2, 2018, and was an immediate success, becoming one of the best daytime talk shows and one of the most popular programs in its time slot, with a share of 18.9%. Over the next three years, it emerged as the leader in its time slot more than 200 times, while its views on YouTube exceeded 300 million. In 2019, DNK became a finalist of the TEFI television award in the Best Daytime Show category.

Over the course of its existence, it has helped more than 500 families start a new life. More than 1,500 DNA tests were carried out to make this happen, with some test results shocking even more the most confident guests. For example, the show uncovered 18 cases of a baby being switched at birth in maternity wards.
