The Magika festival is being held under the patronage of the Don State Technical University for the second time. This year it will take place from 24 to 29 September in the Raduga sports and recreation complex of the Divnomorskoe village in Krasnodar krai.
As part of their assignments, students will receive case studies from partner companies, which they will need to solve in project teams with the use of transmedia storytelling technology. This includes creating a 2D or 3D animation project, game concept, video product that uses motion design or a comics strip for different age groups, platforms and engines, including the Unreal Engine.
Teams will need to identify the problems and needs of their target audience, analyse the market and develop a game concept using Unity and Unreal Engine tools, 2D/3D animation, 2D/3D comics or a video with 2D/3D motion design.
This project is a logical continuation of the cooperation between Gazprom-Media Holding and the Don State Technical University. The Holding’s top managers and representatives visited the University in April 2021. Following the visit they outlined promising areas of collaboration with the university, including in the field of animation.
