Match TV channel receives award from Russian Football Premier League for its work in the 2016-2017 season

The Match TV team received an award from the Russian Football Premier League (RFPL) for its great contribution to the promotion of domestic football. This was announced at the Premier Prize of the league’s 2016-2017 season.

“Match TV is a good partner for us, one that helps to show the championship to fans around the whole world in a vibrant, interesting and creative way,” said Sergey Pryadkin, RFPL president, upon presenting the award to Match TV.

The Russian Football Union and Russian Football Premier League summed up the sports results of the 2016-2017 season on May 22 in the Amber Plaza business center in Moscow. Awards were given to the best goalkeeper of the season, best midfielders and other best players.

The event was attended by deputy prime minister of the Russian Federation and president of the Russian Football Union Vitaly Mutko, first vice-president of the Russian Football Union Nikita Simonyan, and president of the Russian Football Premier League Sergey Pryadkin. Also taking part in the event were the editor-in-chief of football broadcasts on Match TV Valery Karpin, Match TV commentator Georgy Cherdantsev, coaches, footballers, members of Premier League clubs, representatives of businesses and prominent media.
