Russian Creativity Week is a large-scale program aimed at developing creative industries in Russia, bringing together the leaders of 14 industries that are internationally recognized as “creative,” including television, film, IT, new media, art, music and journalism.

The business and educational parts of the festival’s program will cover 14 segments and feature various formats including discussion panels, master classes, open lectures and a Public Talk. More than 500 events will take place in Gorky Park over the three days of the festival with the goal of helping festival participants get to know the specifics of the creative industries and increase knowledge of the creative industry experts shaping the future of Russia’s creative economy.

The festival’s main panel session, called Forming Self-Identity among the Creative Industries: Bringing out the Economic Potential of Russia’s Creative Community, will be held on September 12. This closed event will be dedicated to the interaction between the government and creative industries, identifying barriers to the development of the sector, and figuring out how to remove them. CEO of Gazprom Media Alexander Zharov will speak at the session, which will be hosted by TV presenter and journalist Vladimir Pozner.
