Eight of the Holding’s companies reached the final of the prestigious competition.
The TV channels TNT4, Friday!, TNT, TV-3, Match TV, Subbota! and NTV as well as Red Media company are finalists of PromaxBDA Promotion, Marketing and Design Global Excellence Awards 2021, a prestigious contest in the area of television marketing and design. The contest’s shortlist features 68 applications from Gazprom-Media Holding companies, in 40 nominations. The winners will be announced on November 18, 2021. Last year, Gazprom-Media won 27 PromaxBDA Global Excellence Awards, making it the leader among Russian media holdings.
The works of the Gazprom-Media channels are represented in the nominations “Sound design”, “Entertainment: Best program promo”, “Best brand image promo - :60 seconds or less”, “Best block of programming promo or campaign”, “Best theatrical movie shown on television promo - drama”, “Best innovative advertising campaigns on digital platforms”, “Best promo of a live sports event”, among others.
TNT4 emerged as the absolute leader among Russian channels in terms of the number of works included on the shortlist. The TV channel is vying for 21 awards in 13 nominations. Six of the channel’s promo videos made it onto the shortlist: “Sploshnoye Kino” (Never-Ending Films), Garmonichnoe Kino (Harmonious Film), Beatbox, Vse Krome Titanika (Everything Except the Titanic), as well as the promos to the film Gangs of New York and the reality series Soldatki (Female Soldiers).
TNT4 received 10 statuettes at Promax Global in 2020 and became a leader among Russian channels in the number of projects that won awards.
Friday! TV channel became the leader among Russian companies in terms of the number of nominations. The contest jury included the channel’s works in 16 nominations. The shortlist features 13 of the channel’s original works. This includes the promo videos to the shows Konditer (Confectioner), Al-kapotnya, Mir Naiznanku: Pakistan (The World Inside Out: Pakistan), the film The Revenant, as well as the clip Izo-LEO-lyatsiya, the promo campaign to the reality show Patsanky (Tomboys), and others.
The works of Subbota! TV channel made it onto the shortlist for the first time. The channel is represented in three nominations for its sky presentation on board Aeroflot’s festive Moscow-Moscow flight.
The shortlist features 14 applications from TNT channel, in 11 nominations. The promo campaign for the series Pereval Dyatlova (Dead Mountain: The Dyatlov Pass Incident) was presented to the jury, together with cases and the creative marketing activation of the projects 257 Prichin Zhit (257 Reasons to Live), Zoloto Gelendzhika (Gelendzhik Gold), Improvizatsiya (Improvisation), Realnye Patsany (Real Guys), and others. A total of 12 TNT works are competing for the Promax Global awards.
TV-3 channel is represented in the final with six works, and is contending for nine awards in seven nominations: on-air promos Gipnoticheskoe Kino (Hypnotic Film) and Bogemnaya Rapsodiya (Bohemian Rhapsody) to introduce the Phantom series, the marketing activation to the series Myortvoe Ozero (Dead Lake) and May 9 “Salyut Geroy” (Salute the Hero) project, the case “Poezdka v Chernobyl” (A Trip to Chernobyl).
Two NTV projects are shortlisted in three nominations. The reality show Shpionsky Most (The Spy Bridge) is featured in the “Best opening credits” and “Best program promo and design” nominations. Meanwhile, the poster and souvenirs of the historical series Rostov will compete for an award in the nomination “Best premium or special promotion tools”.
Other award contenders include three applications from Match TV channel. Two of its promo videos are included on the shortlist. These are the videos “Dni boksa na Match TV” (Boxing days on Match TV) and “Vecher Diego Maradony” (Diego Maradona’s evening), which was made for a special program in memory of the football player.
Red Media company’s Feel the Beat video will compete for an award in the “Best sound design” nomination. Other contenders in this nomination include the world’s largest streaming service Netflix and prominent Russian TV channels.
