Gazprom-Media Holding, the leading media holding in Russia and Eastern Europe, has announced the acquisition of a 70% share in the company ToyRoy Media - the creator and distributor of the popular animated series Drakosha Tosha (Dragon Tosha) and children’s content for all media platforms. The deal gives Gazprom-Media Holding exclusive rights to animation projects that ToyRoy Media is already working on, including its commercially successful animation brand - the animated series Drakosha Tosha. Moreover, there were exclusive agreements made with the company’s professional team in the interests of Gazprom-Media Holding. The team is made up of professionals and experts in the creation of children’s content, including showrunners, art directors, creative producers and production designers.

This transaction will allow us to strengthen our position in the creation of animated media products for children and family audiences. This particular niche was previously not represented among our own creative resources. Our creative team creates news, entertainment and sports content of all genres and formats that is available across all media platforms. We see great commercial potential in the children’s animation segment in terms of its distribution and the development of licensed products. Moreover, we are reinforcing our social role by producing suitable and safe children’s content that supports the multifaceted development of the child.
Alexander Zharov CEO of Gazprom-Media Holding
