Central Partnership film company (part of Gazprom-Media Holding) tallied up the results of foreign film distribution of the animation feature Fiksiki. Bolshoy Sekret (The Fixies: Top Secret). The film’s box office added up to more than $1 million in Latin America. The cartoon was released in the cinemas of Mexico, Peru, Chile, Bolivia and Ecuador.
Corazon Filmes and BF Distribution brought the film to cinemas in Latin America after signing an agreement with Central Partnership this spring.
“Without a doubt, such a broad geography for the release of a Russian cartoon in Latin America shows that our partners truly appreciated the Russian project. In Mexico, for example, the cartoon remained at the box office for eight whole weeks! We, in turn, are very happy that Fiksiki has surpassed the $1 million mark in the world since we are planning to start selling the sequel to the cartoon at the Toronto film market in September,” said Katerina Pshenitsyna, director of the international sales department at Central Partnership.
