TNT comedy series Olga presented at MIPCOM 2016 in Cannes

Olga is the only Russian project that was shown as part of the Fresh TV presentation on promising TV series formats.

“Getting into the Fresh TV Fiction program at Cannes is very prestigious for a television series. It is similar to a film being chosen for the official program of a large international festival. Yes, unlike a film festival, there are no winners here, but it is important to understand that this is a rivalry among the best new television series from around the world,” Artyom Loginov, one of the founders of Good Story Media and the producer of the Olga series, said about the accomplishment.

MIPCOM is an annual market for television content and television formats. More than 2,000 professionals from the world television industry take part in the event, including the representatives of leading television companies, distributors of television content, as well as producers of the world’s leading studios and channels.

Fresh TV is one of the most significant events on the market. It is the presentation of the most innovative, interesting and commercially attractive television series. The Wit, a global leader in television market research, which includes TV series, is the organizer of Fresh TV. At the event, the projects are not brought forward by their producers but rather, they are selected by independent market professionals.

Olga is the most successful series on the TNT channel in 2016, having been watched by 24% of Russian viewers aged between 14 and 44. It is a comedy series that follows a female character, played by Yana Troyanova, who is raising two children from different marriages, caring for her alcoholic father and, at the same time, trying to find a romantic relationship.
