The television channel TNT4, which is part of Gazprom-Media Holding, received the top prize of a prestigious international contest in its first year of broadcasting. The channel received the gold prize of the PromaxBDA UK Awards 2016 in the field of television marketing and design at the award ceremony, which took place on November 4 in London, UK.
TNT4 won the gold prize in one of the most competitive categories, “Best installation video in a foreign language,” for its promo to the Nikita TV series. Foreign television companies traditionally take part in this nomination.
The channel presented two of its works to the contest and both of them made it to the contest’s shortlist. The other contest finalist was the promo-video to the release of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.
“Broadcast promotion is one of the important components of television, and the people who work in this sphere, such as screenwriters and the directors of TV series and shows, are also artists, the only difference being that they create works of a shorter genre. TNT4 is a young, federal channel that is exhibiting an incredible growth in the audience share, 250% in 10 months. This can be credited not only to the strong brand and the most powerful content of TNT, but also the work of the talented team of TNT4. The channel has the first gold statuette from Promax - this is just the start. The future looks even cooler,” Gavriil Gordeyev, director of TNT4 channel, said about receiving the international award.
Every year, global television leaders, such as BBC Worldwide, Turner Broadcasting, Fox, The Walt Disney company, NBC Universal, MTV, Discovery, ITV and Nickelodeon, compete for the right to be called the best.
