TNT4 will air a marathon of the comedy series Druzhba Narodov (Friendship of Nations) on May 2, starting at 11:00. The broadcast is timed to the Day of Spring and Labour, which is celebrated in Russia on May 1.
The series focuses on multiculturalism. Its characters are a tight-knit Moscow family - husband Dzhabrail (Teimuraz Taniyah) and wife Lena (Ekaterina Skulkina) with their two children. Occasionally they have to host numerous relatives who live in different parts of Russia.
All of the sitcom’s characters live happily under one roof, while their different mentalities lead to humorous discussions and situations: about love, the generational gap, parenting, relationships with distant relatives and trust in close friends. These topics are particularly relevant in this time of self-isolation when many members of large families have been left alone with each other, each bringing their own character and habits to the family table. If this situation is viewed with irony, as the characters in Druzhba Narodov do, it becomes easier to reach a mutual understanding.
