Gazprom media top managers spoke at the conference Media Business by Vedomosti newspaper

CEO Gazprom media Dmitry Chernyshenko took part in the interview session ‘The Speaker’s Speech’ and shared his vision of the development of media market, and also the forecasts of the dynamics of the advertising market.

“According to our forecast, in 2016 the television advertising market will grow by 3%. In the longer term outlook, by 2021, the Russian advertising market will reach 530 billion rubles. But there will be a slight increase in relation to 2014. The growth of the advertising market will depend on the pace of recovery of the real economy, as well as the growth of people's welfare. Growth in consumption is a major factor in the growth of advertising markets and paid media entertainment. Television still remains a major media on the structure of advertising expenditure. We expect that the share of online advertising in the segment of video advertising will grow significantly and we expect growth of 25% by 2021,",- said CEO Gazprom media Dmitry Chernyshenko at the conference Media Business.

Dmitry Chernyshenko said that 85% of the company's revenues are advertising revenues. He noted that the group will focus on reducing dependence on advertising at the expense of paid products in the segments of the Internet, TV and sports business.

"We need to develop the culture of consumption of paid content among the audience. We intend to launch new products and develop TV brands, which will increase the volume of non-advertising revenues," - explained Dmitry Chernyshenko.
