TV-3 channel held a closed presentation of its new drama TV series in the Moskva cinema where guests included some of the most popular Russian film stars: Danila Kozlovsky, Viktoriya Isakova, Petr Fyodorov, Yevgeny Tsyganov, Elena Lyadova, Vladimir Vdovichenkov, Konstantin Lavronenko and many others. The general manager of TV-3 Valery Fyodorovich and general producer of the channel Evgeny Nikishov presented 12 new series that will appear on TV-3 in the 2018-2019 season.
“TV-3 channel is becoming a place of power with the best Russian TV series. We made this statement for the first time a year ago and today we can already show our first projects, which are taking the Russian TV series industry to a whole new level. Bold, audacious, experimental projects that we are preparing now could not have appeared on the air of any other channel, but for us it is just one of the criteria when launching new series into production,” said Valery Fyodorovich.
The guests of the event were shown the fantasy series Karamora. This fantasy story talks about a vampire order. The young anarchist Karamora issues them a challenge by provoking the outbreak of the First World War and then the revolution of 1917. Danila Kozlovsky performs the main role in the film series while Ilya Naishuller directs. Naishuller previously created the innovative action film Hardcore and the memorable music videos to the songs by Leningrad band, Kol’shik (The Cutter) and Voyazh (Voyage).
The producer of the films Dukhless (Soulless) and Dukhless-2 Pyotr Anurov, together with Danila Shapovalov, showed guests the trailer to the mythical detective story Myortvoe Ozero (Dead Lake) in which Yevgeny Tsyganov acts as an investigator from Moscow who comes to a distant northern town to investigate the murder of a local tycoon.
Director Egor Baranov presented the first clips of the fantasy drama film series Avanpost, which features Pyotr Fyodorov, Alexey Chadov and Konstantin Lavronenko. The screenwriters of Gogol, Natasha Merkulova and Alexey Chupov, talked about their work on the detective story Call Center. The director of the TV series Zakon Kamennyh Djunglei (Rules of the Stone Jungle) Igor Khomsky presented a mythical detective story, Shaman, which was filmed in Buryatia with Artur Smolyaninov in the lead role. One of the most popular speakers of the event was the screenwriter and director Ilya Kulikov, who wrote the script to the TV series Chernobyl and its sequels. For TV-3, he wrote the script of the drama Uchitelya (Teachers), which features Vladimir Vdovichenkov in the lead role, and the mystical drama Dokumentalist (The Documentalist), which he already started to film as a director. Director Nagina Saifullaeva (Detki, Kids), director Vladlena Sandu and screenwriter Nikita Ikonnikov (Identifikatsiya, Identification) also presented their new projects.
TV-3 showed a pilot episode of the series Obychnaya Zhenshina (An Ordinary Woman) at the presentation. The series director is Boris Khlebnikov (Aritmiya) and the main role is played by Anna Mikhalkova. The plot of the series tells about the life of a common middle-aged Muscovite woman who leads a double life in order to support her family. During the day she diligently pretends to be a successful entrepreneur, but in reality she receives money for the family by finding “call girls” for her clients.
