Central Partnership wraps up filming of Kolovrat in Moscow
The Central Partnership film company and the production center Ivan have completed the filming of the large-scale action film Kolovrat (working title) in Moscow. The film centres on the legendary feat by the Ryazan warrior leader Evpatii Kolovrat. Work on the first film about the Russian warrior, who set to avenge his native land and challenge the hordes of Batu Khan, took 68 filming days.
The creators opted not to use a historical realism style in the movie, instead trying to create an original fantasy, fairytale-like world.
The producers of the film are Dzhanik Fayziev (Avgust. Vosmogo, August Eighth; Admiral, Kanikuly Strogogo Rezhima, High Security Vacation), general manager of Central Partnership Pavel Stepanov and the head of Gazprom-Media KIT Rafael Minasbekyan.
The project’s director is Ivan Shurkhovetsky, who made his debut in a feature-length genre, and the operator is Maksim Osadchy (Stalingrad; Zhara, Heat; Devyataya Rota; 9th Squadron).
The main roles are performed by the young actors Ilya Malakov and Polina Chernyshova, as well as Alexey Serebryakov, Alexander Ilyin Jr., Igor Savochkin, Timofey Tribuntsev, Alexander Tsoy, Yulia Khlynina, Andrey Burkovsky, Viktor Proskurin and others.
Central Partnership plans to release the fantasy action film Kolovrat (working title) in 2017.
