Can you think of a horrible job where you are surrounded by ghouls, trolls and bloodsuckers...literally? Such clients are not even the worst thing that the characters of Vozvratu ne Podlezhit (No Returns), the new series from 2x2 Animation Studio, will come face-to-face with. That’s because they are workers (or slaves, however you look at it) in the occult shop of an eccentric and tyrannical magic seller.
This series marks the first time in the history of 2x2 channel that the voice-over for the main characters in a series was done by actors from the Dmitry Brusnikin Workshop, an independent theatre company. These were Ilya Barabanov, Yasmina Omerovich and Alexey Lyubimov. Their voices helped to set the mood for the Animation Studio’s most mystical and magical project.
Victor Morro’s occult shop is an amazing and mysterious place. And the biggest mystery is - how does this charismatic sorcerer and swindler make his workers go on the craziest missions and complete the most insane of tasks in the fantasy worlds? Hypnosis? Blackmail? Or perhaps, magic?
