Gazprom-Media Holding Strengthens the Field of Animation. YARKO Company Enters the Market

On February 24, 2022, Gazprom-Media Holding presented a new brand and strategy for the YARKO animation company. The company was created on the basis of ToyRoy Media LLC, which became part of Gazprom-Media Holding as a result of a transaction in 2021. Thus, the holding is developing the production of children’s and family content both for its own TV channels and online platforms, and for all participants in the media market. The studio plans to release 478 minutes of animated content in 2022 and 905 minutes in 2023.

The domestic animation market is on the rise, and during the pandemic, its commercial potential has grown like never before. The YARKO creative team will produce content of various genres and formats, available in all media environments. Thus, Gazprom-Media Holding is strengthening its positions in the growing animation segment, interacting with the future audience of our TV channels and platforms, and performing the socially significant function of creating useful and safe children’s content that works for the development of children and strengthens the bonds between children and parents.

The company will develop existing brands and new franchises. There are 12 projects in development and production that are aimed at children under 12 years old.
YARKO uses artificial intelligence systems to optimize and speed up production, and it uses cloud storage and information exchange solutions, which makes it possible to scale production and work effectively in a remote mode.
