Six years have passed since the first episode of the channel’s flagship program Vse na Match! (All to the Match!) aired on November 1, 2015. Since that day, Match TV continues to successfully promote sports culture and healthy lifestyles, and show a variety of competitions from the world of sport. 

In its six years of broadcasting, Match TV has united millions of viewers across Russia and rightfully earned the status of the country’s main sports TV channel. It created high-quality sports analytics, broadcast new sports, major world sports competitions, news and entertainment programs, documentaries and much more. The channel’s team is made up of the best professionals in the industry, producers, directors, sports commentators and experts, famous coaches and legendary athletes.

Each birthday marks the beginning of a new phase and Match TV is happy once again to share its biggest news and plans for the next year.

New press centre

A press centre of the Match+ agency has been operational on the second floor of the Oktyabr Cinema on Novy Arbat since November 1, 2021. The press centre can accommodate up to 50 people and is equipped with state-of-the-art technical support. A radio studio for broadcasting and recording podcasts is located in the press centre.

New broadcast formats and a new TV studio

Match TV is launching two new television formats - the weekly news program Gromko (Loud) and the daily talk show Est Tema! (There’s Something to Talk About!). 

The main sports news of the week will be covered in Gromko. Dmitry Guberniev and Vasily Konov will host the program. The talk show Est Tema! will look into the most controversial and most discussed topics from the world of sport, and beyond it. Its hosts will be Maria Orzul, Anton Anisimov and Timur Zhuravel. A new, modern television studio in Ostankino will also be presented on the show.

The popular reality show The Titan Games, starring Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, and women’s American football matches will be broadcast as part of the channel’s daytime programming.
 
Match TV will also air many major international competitions in the new year. These include the Olympic Winter Games in Beijing, the FIFA World Cup and the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship. As before, the channel will also continue to show top European football championships, KHL and NHL matches, a myriad of winter sports and much more.
