Gazprom media, the leading diversified media holding in Russia and Eastern Europe, informs about the inclusion of Friday! in a package of 20 national television channels of first and second multiplexes. The channel will broadcast in 16 positions. According to the results of the competition conducted by the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass media, the TV channel Friday! will be in the second digital multiplex. According to amendments to the Law of Russian Federation ‘On Mass Media’ and the federal law ‘On communication’ the status of national television channels will be spread on the TV channels of second multiplex. Thus, the channel Friday! will broadcast on the whole territory of Russia by the digital air broadcasting.

"We continue to give priority to the business development and development of technical coverage of television channels. Participation of TV channel Friday! in the second multiplex is strategically important and will allow the channel to increase its potential audience and strengthen its position in the television market. Besides for viewers TV channel will be a good addition to the package of public channels, which has been already formed," - said General Director of JSC Gazprom media Dmitry Chernyshenko.

The share of TV channel Friday! has grown almost 2 times, and currently stands at 2.7% (at the age of audience 14-44, 01.01.2015 - 09.18.2015) in Russia and 3.5% in Moscow since its launch in June 2013. The average daily audience coverage reaches 11% of the Russian population at the age from 14 to 44 years, and the average time of watching over two years increased from 26 to 42 minutes.

In the list of obligatory public TV channels are also included NTV, Match TV, TNT and TV3, which belong to Gazprom media.
